Crochet Cluster Rows Scarf Pattern

Crochet Cluster Rows Scarf Pattern

Crochet Cluster Rows Scarf

With the cooler weather rolling in, I’ve been eying some of my old patterns in search of something to make. And when my husband recently wore the Cluster Rows scarf I made him a few years ago, it reminded me how much I liked that particular pattern.

Straightforward in design, the scarf is simple to make and results in a tighter stitch that easily keeps a wearer warm. It can be customized by length and width ease, making it this a great gift option.

So let’s get started!

((Note: When I start any instructions down below, I will begin with US English instructions and put the UK English instructions after.))

Materials

Materials:

5.5mm hook (US-I/9; UK/Canada-5)
medium weight yarn (worsted weight in US; Aran yarn in UK; 10-ply in Australia)

Yarns I Used:

Lion Brand Yarns Heartland in sequoia (brown)

Notes and Abbreviations

Notes:

  1. This pattern will be worked in long rows, the foundation row will be repeated to the desired length of the scarf, and rows will be repeated to the desired width.
  2. If one so chooses, the pattern can also be made with a short foundation row to the desired width, and rows can be added to the desired length.
  3. This scarf will be made to measure approximately 60 inches (152cm), but using the gauge, you can calculate and make the scarf any way you want.
  4. The chains at the beginning of every non-cluster row do not count as your first stitches. HOWEVER, the 4-ch posts beginning your cluster rows DO count as your first stitch.
