Intersex Applique Circle Symbol

Now let’s make the purple circle symbol on the yellow portion of the Intersex Progress Pride flag applique. Grab your tapestry needle.

Use as much purple yarn as you need, depending on the sort of stitches you would like to do, but for reference, I used approximately 24 inches (60 cm) of yarn to embroider the circle.

I used a back stitch to keep the outline simple, but you use whatever works best for you.

Assembly

Time to assemble!

Grab your tapestry needle again and your finished rainbow cozy. Center your Trans-Inclusive or Intersex-Inclusive applique on your cozy. I used stitch markers to keep them in the right place as I attached them, but safety pins can work in a pinch too.

With a yarn color of your choice (I used black), you’re going to stitch your applique onto your cozy. I used approximately 36 inches (90cm) of yarn. With spiral stitches I kept hidden between the cozy and the back of the applique, I attached the piece to its cozy.

End off and weave in your ends!

Tah Dah!

And there you go! You now have all three of the latest LGBTQ+ and Queer Community Pride flag coffee cozies.

Remember to drink water, have a snack if you haven’t eaten, and pause and stretch a bit if you’ve been down too long.

And remember that you can follow Family Craft Studio on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.

Happy crafting!
