Crochet Reverse V-Stitch Cowl Pattern

Crochet Reverse V-Stitch Cowl Pattern

Reverse V-Stitch Cowl

Digging through old patterns again, I found this one of a crochet cowl and decided to share it here. It’s warm and cozy and easy to customize, so it’s one of my favorites to give as gifts.

The stitch I used for this, the reverse V-stitch, takes a little practice to get the hang of, but it’s easy enough once you do.

((Note: When I start any instructions down below, I will begin with US English instructions and put the UK English instructions after.))

Materials

Materials:

5.5mm hook (US-I/9; UK/Canada-5)
medium weight yarn (worsted weight in US; Aran yarn in UK; 10-ply in Australia)

Yarn I Used:

Lion Brand Yarn Heartland in kings canyon

Notes and Abbreviations

Notes:

  1. The cowl is worked in rounds.
  2. You may add more rows than is used in this pattern to make your cowl “taller”.
  3. If you want to make your cowl longer, this pattern is done in an even number of stitches plus one more, so customize to your desired length by adding multiples of 2 (+1 more).
